Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
Will a vehicle wrap discolor over time? 100% yes, it is going to happen. The only way around that is one, uh, putting a ceramic coating on it to either prolong that from happening, not so quickly, or putting it in your garage and not letting it see the sun. I mean, the sun is going to discolor PVC vinyl pretty quickly. um we're talking, you know, over several years, but it will happen and you can't really avoid it, unfortunately.
Regarding bubbling or peeling, Nick assured that if a vehicle wrap is "installed correctly and under the the best conditions, absolutely not". However, Nick cautioned that issues with paint or temperature during installation could lead to bubbling or peeling, also noting that this depends on the installer, the film material used, and whether the customer follows up on post-installation issues (00:01:19). Nick confirmed that vehicle wraps will 100% discolor over time due to sun exposure, as the sun discolors PVC vinyl quickly, and suggested applying a ceramic coating or storing the vehicle in a garage to prolong its life (00:02:36).
